Mommy Dionisia Speaks on Sen. Pacquiao’s Presidential Bid
MOMMY DIONISIA – The mother of presidential candidate and incumbent Senator Manny Pacquiao admitted her worries over his presidential bid.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao is the standard-bearer of political party PROMDI in the Election 2022. He is running alongside its vice-presidential bet, Representative Lito Atienza, who is very vocal about his support on the boxer-turned-senator.
Pacquiao has held positions in the provincial government before he became a senator. He is currently serving his first term as a member of the Senate after winning the 2016 senatorial election. Even months prior to the filing of the candidacy for the Election 2022, there were already rumors that he will be running for president in the next poll.
Then, Pacquiao maintained his stand of focusing on the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the present problems of the country without categorically answering queries about a possible presidential bid.
Prior to the filing of the candidacy period, Sen. Manny Pacquiao had a rift with some of the officials of PDP-Laban where he’s also a member. He stressed his determination to run for president and help more Filipinos.
Recently, the election campaign period and the presidential bets kicked off their rallies in different areas. Sen. Manny Pacquiao held his proclamation rally in General Santos City. His mother, Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, was also present at the proclamation rally.
Based on a post on RB Sweet FM, Mommy Dionisia she’s worried that Sen. Manny Pacquiao may lose all his money in the election. She expressed that she’s worried even since the boxing legend was running for a position in GenSan because a lot of money are going out.
Also called Mommy D, the Senator’s mother also expressed that some of her friends are telling her that the boxer-turned-Senator is giving away money. Based on the post, it is visible that he’s embarrassed while listening to what his mother was talking during the proclamation rally.
