Man Addicted to Online Sabong Suffers Consecutive Lose Streak & Hold Up e-Sabong Outlet

ROSARIO, CAVITE – The police authorities are now searching for a man addicted to online sabong after he holds up e-sabong outlet.

The 40-year-old man identified as Christian Rodriguez is currently at large after stealing around P380, 000 from an e-sabong outlet in Rosario, Cavite. The suspect is working as a contractor.

Rodriguez lost a huge amount of cash after consecutive lose streaks. The latter has been betting at the e-sabong outlet for a couple of times before he declared a holdup at the establishment.

Last week, the suspect lost again and offered to pawn his motorcycle but the outlet supervisor refused to accept. The latter start to declare holdup after supervisor declined to accept his offer.

“Malaki [ang pusta] sunod-sunod na talo kaya namumuwersa siya na isangla yung motor, [nung hindi pinayagan] naglabas ng baril tinutukan na lang yung mga teller,” the e-sabong station employee said.

Rosario police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Ruther Saquilayan reported that Rodriguez reportedly lost around P200, 000. Several citizens also filed complaints aganst the suspect for failing to complete his contract.

“Almost, P200,000 ang natalo. Kasi siya ay kilala roon, after ng around ng mga 4 a.m. hinoldap niya ito, Wala siyang magawa kung hindi magsabong at base sa mga nakakausap namin na mga bahay na kinuhanan niya ng contract ito ay may mga advance na malalaking halaga,” Saquilayan said.

Madel Ebong, the suspect’s live-in partner urged Rodriguez to peacefully surrender to the authorities. The cops will file robbery charges against the suspect.
