The volcano remains under alert level 3 as it continue to show magmatic unrest. “This means that there is a magmatic intrusion at the Main Crater that may further drive succeeding eruptions,” the agency said.

The seismology agency also reminded the public that the entry to Taal Volcano Island, which has been declared as a permanent danger zone and Barangays Bilibinwang and Banyaga in Agoncillo, and Boso-boso, Gulod and eastern Bugaan East in Laurel in Batangas remain prohibited.

The residents have been prohibited the areas mentioned above due to the possible occurrence of volcanic tsunami and hazards of pyroclastic density currents.

“All activities on Taal Lake should not be allowed at this time,” Phivolcs said.

The bureau also advised the residents in nearby areas to take precautionary measures for possible airborne ash and vog. The agency advised the residents to prepare for possible evacuation if sign of unrest intensifies.

Phivolcs advised the civil aviation to instruct pilots to avoid flying near the main crater.
