PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (March 31)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines will have a hot and humid weather condition today.

On Thursday (March 31, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting the entire country. The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Some parts of Luzon will experience warm weather with possible rains in the afternoon and the evening.

“Sa buong bahagi ng Luzon, ngayong araw ay maaliwalas po yung ating panahon, mainit at maalinsangan lalo na sa tanghali,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

The weather agency also advised the public to stay indoors due to hot and humid weather condition. Filipinos are also advised to bring hat, umbrella or other stuff to protect themselves from scorching heat.

“Kung di maiiwasan or yung nature ng trabaho natin ay nasa direktang init po tayo ng araw, ay huwag po nating kalilimutan yung mga pananggalang po natin, yung mga sumbrero, payong,” Castañeda added.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the archipelago will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
