Cops Arrest Alleged Akyat-Bahay Suspect in Quezon City, 3 Minors Suspects Still at Large
QUEZON CITY – The police authorities have arrested an alleged akyat-bahay suspect in Quezon City while his colleagues are still at large.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by the cops for breaking into a home in Quezon City and stealing some valuables. The suspect performed the crime together with his three minor colleagues.
According to the QCPD Kamuning Station, the four suspects climbed the garage of a house in Barangay South Triangle last weekend. The thieves were able to break into the vicinity and steal several valuables.
The culprits reportedly stole a mountain bike worth P60, 000, electronic bike worth P30, 000, two helmets worth P7, 000 and two Vespa keys worth P120, 000. One resident caught the suspects performing the crime.
Unfortunately, the suspects immediately run away while trying to escape. The witness tried to chase the suspects but he failed to catch them.
The police authorities launched a follow up operation on Monday (March 28) and caught the suspect selling the stolen helmet at Barangay Sacred Heart. The cops immediately arrested the suspect.
The cops recovered the stolen Spyder helmet from the suspect. The witness positively identified the thief. However, other stolen valuables have not been recovered yet.
The authorities are still conducting a manhunt operation to locate and arrest the suspects. The Akyat bahay members will face charges of robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code.
