Keith Martin died at the age of 55
Because of You singer Keith Martin was found dead in his condominium unit in Quezon City on March 25.
The American singer has found a home in the Philippines. He has done several projects already in the country.
On Friday, the music industry in the country mourned upon news about his death circulated. Based on the report from GMA News Online, the Quezon City Police District confirmed the singer’s death.
Reportedly, Keith’s neighbors alerted the authorities about the foul smell at the sixth floor of the building. When the authorities traced the source of the undesirable odor, they found out that it was coming from Unit 6E that belonged to the singer.
Authorities checked the unit and they found the lifeless body of Keith. Police Lt. Colonel Cristine Tabdi of the Station 12 of the Quezon City Police District said that this case was already turned over to Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit for further investigation.
As of this writing, authorities haven’t released yet an official statement regarding the cause of death. Amid this sad news, several people from the music industry expressed grief and reminisced the fondest memories they had with Keith Martin.
Netizens on different social media platforms also expressed messages of love and support for the loved ones of the singer. “RIP Keith Martin” became a trending topic on Twitter on Saturday.
Keith Eric Martin was a singer-songwriter and also a music producer. He was known for his romantic love songs that have captured the hearts of many people. Aside from singing, he also played several musical instruments like keyboard, bass guitar, and drums.
