Is it true that ASAP Natin To will transfer to GMA?
Rumor has it that the Kapamilya Sunday noontime musical variety show ASAP Natin To will air on GMA Network amid ABS-CBN’s issue with TV5.
The issue between the Kapamilya and Kapatid networks surfaced when the latter released a statement that it is terminating its contract with the former. It was said that ABS-CBN was not able to pay its financial obligation to TV5, which has reached almost a billion pesos, as what was stipulated in their contract.
With this, TV5 stated that ABS-CBN’s shows, such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, The Iron Heart, Dirty Linen, Everybody Sing, and ASAP Natin To, will just air until January 2, 2026.
In a statement released by ABS-CBN, it said that it will strive despite the obstacles and promised its viewers that it will continue in the “Service of the Filipino.” Following the statement from the Kapamilya network, TV5 clarified its decision to terminate its contract. The Kapatid network said that after repeated appeals to ABS-CBN regarding this matter, there was no assurance.
Amid this issue, entertainment writer Gorgy Rula said in his article in Pilipino Star Ngayon that a rumor surfaced that ASAP Natin To might air on GMA.
However, Rula said that it’s just a rumor that could happen because the Kapuso Sunday show All-Out Sundays hasn’t shown a good performance in the ratings yet. Then, he asked if it is possible that ASAP will be replaced. If this happpened, the entertainment writer asked, “Paano na ngayon ang mga artista ng GMA 7?
Then, Rula said that AOS has been enduring because it has become a platform for the GMA’s talents, especially newcomers, to be introduced to the public. Other Kapuso talents would appear on It’s Showtime for additional exposure, but just a few of them.
“Kaya ewan ko kung magkatotoo itong usap-usapang pag-ere ng ASAP sa GMA 7,” the entertainment writer said.
Currently, Kapamilya shows It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab are airing on GMA 7. However, Rula said, it is unknown if GMA and ABS-CBN’s partnership is still okay. Because of the recent issue, it became questionable whether ABS-CBN is paying GMA properly for the content they air on the Kapuso network.
Late last year, rumors surfaced about It’s Showtime‘s contract with GMA. However, it was eventually addressed. Rula said that some executives they have spoken to have denied it.
