Ciara Sotto debunked rumors against the Lacson-Sotto tandem
Actress Ciara Sotto asserted that the tandem of Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Ping Lacson will continue the fight.
Rumors surfaced that the Lacson-Sotto tandem will with draw in the presidential and vice-presidential race. The rumors even hyped up when Ciara posted a TikTok video showcasing her “Ciara All” shirt which is similar to UniTeam’s vice-presidential candidate Sara Duterte’s “Sara All” slogan.
Although Sen. Ping resigned as the chairman and member of Partido Reporma, he said that he will still continue his candidacy. The Senator also contradicted the statement of his former co-party member Pantaleon Alvarez that the reason for not endorsing him was his poor survey standing.
Lacson divulged that the reason behind this was that he was not able to provide the P800 million budget for local campaign that Alvarez asked.
In a recent Instagram Reel of Ciara Sotto, she attested that the Lacson-Sotto tandem is not giving up the fight. “We’re going to fight till the end,” the actress wrote in the caption of her post.
In the video, Ciara was with her father and Senator Ping. There was also a portion showing that actress Iwa Moto, the partner of Lacson’s son, was also there.
Ciara has been very supportive of her father’s candidacy since day one. Apparently, this is the reason why she was disappointed when Senator Kiko Pangilinan announced that he is running for vice president also.
Sen. Kiko’s wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, is the cousin of Ciara Sotto. The Megastar is known to be very close to her aunt veteran actress Helen Gamboa.
Meanwhile, Senator Tito Sotto shared a photo with Chet Cuneta, the brother of Sharon, a few days ago. With this, it appeared that Chet is supporting the candidacy of the Senate President and not the husband of his sister.
