This is the reaction of Jinggoy Estrada about Jake Ejercito supporting Robredo’s presidential bid.
JAKE EJERCITO – Jake Ejercito is openly supporting Leni Robredo and his brother Jinggoy Estrada has this reaction about his stand.
The campaign rally of Vice President Leni Robredo in Pasig City is so far the biggest yet collecting over 137,000 “Kakampink” gather together. And among the crowd are also several celebrities to show support for her candidacy to be president. One of those famous celebrities in the crowd is Jake Ejercito, an open supporter of her despite coming from a political family supporting a different candidate for this year’s election.
In a previous article, by having the chance to meet his bet personally, who also approached him first, he has these good words for her:
“But it ain’t about colors for me; it’s about being Filipino. No hero-worship here, but candidates who are as genuine, as qualified, and as capable as her don’t come around too often. Let’s not waste this rare opportunity to let someone like her lead.”
Jinggoy Estrada, a former senator who is seeking re-election this year, has reacted to his half-brother’s political stand. Accordingly, different political views and standing within their family were never an issue. He also believes that Jake is already old enough to do what he wants and to make a decision in whoever he would want to believe in.
“I’m not convincing him to support Bongbong Marcos. If he has another candidate in mind that he thinks that can help our country, that is his decision,” he said. But when it comes to his senatorial candidacy, he has the actor’s full support.
He’s not intruding on his decision to support Leni. He added that Jake’s sister, Jerika, is supporting his president. He said based on a report from PEP, “If he thinks Leni is more qualified, that is his own opinion. He’s old enough to decide what is right and what is wrong.”
Jinggoy belongs to the senatorial slate of BBM. He is the son of former President Joseph Estrada with former senator Loi Ejercito while Jake is Erap’s son with former actress Laarni Enriquez.
