Update on Former Pres. Erap’s Condition Now According to Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada

ERAP’S CONDITION – Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada issued a medical bulletin of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada.

The COVID-19 has infected a lot of people in the Philippines. One of the popular personalities who contracted the disease is former Pres. Joseph Estrada. He’s currently 84 years old.

The former President celebrated his 84th birthday in the hospital. He was brought to the hospital after his oxygen level dropped. He was even moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was intubated to assist him in his breathing.

According to former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, when he asked the doctor what will happen if his father won’t be intubated, the doctor said that the former President will not live. He gave a green signal and, being the eldest among the Estrada siblings, he is the one leading the decision-making.

Former Pres. Erap was in the ICU for a few days. His elder sisters also tested positive for COVID-19 but they were asymptomatic. The former President has already tested negative for coronavirus and was returned to a regular room.

However, after a few days, he was moved back to the ICU after the doctors spotted an infection in his lungs. He was returned to a non-COVID ICU for strict monitoring and the treatment of his infection. He’s now back to a regular room.

Recently, an update about former Pres. Erap’s condition crossed the surface as former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada issued a medical bulletin. According to the former Senator, his father continues to improve and his oxygen assistance need now is at minimal levels.

Jinggoy also stated in his post that the chest x-ray of the former President “showed significant improvement”. Former Pres. Erap’s condition now is getting better and he is back on oral diet. His family is praying that he will be discharged from the hospital soon and they express their gratitude for everyone’s support.
