Parokya ni Edgar clarified this Facebook post
A post claimed that Parokya ni Edgar will join the UniTeam rally in Zamboanga but the Pinoy rock band denied this.
During campaign events, it has been a tradition in the political scene in the Philippines that celebrities are present. It is a fact that many celebrities are openly endorsing certain politicians.
Performances by showbiz personalities have become part of sorties. However, for PNE, this is not the case. A post of a Facebook account claimed that the Pinoy rock band will be in Zamboanga on April 10 for the campaign rally of UniTeam, the group of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
There were also other names of artists that were listed down who will allegedly join the rally as well. Parokya ni Edgar debunked this as the band said, “This is not true.”
Several critics of the UniTeam and the BBM-Sara tandem also slammed this claim of a Facebook user. There were also supporters of other candidates who thanked the band for saying that this is fake.
Meanwhile, the band is set to perform at Dubai Expo. Just recently, Chito Miranda, the frontman of the man, shared a photo on his Instagram account showing that he and his band co-members were already boarded on the plane to Dubai.
He called this as “Fieldtrip with Friends.” “Yan exactly yung feeling ko tuwing may biyahe kami ng Parokya. Para kaming gradeschool students na pupunta sa planta ng ice cream at Manila Zoo, tapos si Dindin yung mayaman mong kaklase na masarap katabi kasi palaging madaming snacks,” Chito said.
The Parokya ni Edgar vocalist said that he felt weird about this because it seemed that it was not two years ago since their last tour. He said that it felt like it was just a week ago.
