Chito Miranda shared this post about his band
PNE is indeed one of the iconic bands that blossomed in the 90s. Until now, they continue to share their music with their fans even in this generation.
In a recent Instagram post of Chito, he reminisced the fondest memories he had with his bandmates. This recollection came after his grocery shopping with his wife former actress Neri Naig-Miranda.
On their way home, Chito Miranda said that he shared what their lives were when they were students and when they were starting to establish Parokya ni Edgar.
“Yung tipong kahit 10pm pa kami sasalang, magkikita-kita na kami ng hapon after classes tapos tatambay na kami hanggang gabi kasi sobrang excited kami tumugtog,” the band vocalist said.
He recalled that those were the times when they were not preoccupied by anything but their gigs, songwriting, and just hanging out together after their gigs. “Kahit na wala kaming pera (maliban kay Dindin), at kahit na wala pa kaming kinikita, sobrang saya talaga namin nun,” Chito shared.
Although he said that they are still happy now, the energy and excitement back then were different. From that humble beginning, Chito said that they realized that their band was already making a name and that they were already able to buy the things that they want from their earnings.
“It’s been 28yrs since we started playing professionally, and 25yrs since we came out with our 1st album. It’s been a wild and fantastic ride…but all good things must come to an end,” he said.
This statement of Chito Miranda might surprise many of their fans but he continued saying, “Fortunately for Parokya, feeling ko matagal pa yun.”
