Last 2013, professional basketball player Sol Mercado proposed marriage to actress Denise Laurel who accepted his offer of a lifetime to be with her right away. However, in 2016, they broke up after being together for a long time. They were on and off in their relationship but it was accordingly him who initiated it.
But after everything like their split which eventually led to calling off their engagement, the two reconciled and they decided to work things out again. However, while everyone thought they were still together, last year, Mercado made his relationship with beauty queen Sandra Lemonon public. It has shocked many people but the negative comments did not make them flinch a bit.
And now, just several months after making that relationship announcement, they dropped their engagement announcement. With a ring sparkling in tiny diamonds featuring a huge and rare Grandidierite gemstone, he proposed to her, and without any hesitations, as it may appear to the happiness-filled beauty queen, she said “yes”.

Since Sol was first known to be in a relationship with Laurel, netizens could not help but wonder what could have been the actress’ reaction to his former almost husband’s engagement. On IG, the recent post of Laurel said, “Let’s just celebrate love 💕 ✨ Happy Monday everyone!”
