PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Warm Weather Over Eastern Portion of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (March 2)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring warm weather over the eastern portion of the country.

On Wednesday (March 2, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country. It will bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Northern Samar.

The easterlies/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Abra and Benguet.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowersor thunderstorms are expected over eastern Visayas, rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Occidental Mindoro will experience the same weather condition.

“Sa kasalukuyan ay nakakaranas tayo ng medyo mainit na panahon hindi lamang dito sa Metro Manila kundi sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng ating bansa. Ito ay dulot ng easterlies kung saan naaapektuhan ang silangang bahagi ng bansa,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have the same weather condition.

The easterlies and the localized thunderstorms are expected to cause possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme northern Luzon areas will be moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
