Facebook reminded Ruffa Gutierrez of her post a decade ago
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez recalled the posts she shared 10 years ago about her annulment with her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas.
Ruffa and Yilmaz got married in 2003 and they celebrated their union in two wedding ceremonies, the first was held at the NBC Tent on March 25 of the said year and the other one was on May 11 at an old palace in Istanbul.
It was one of the grandest celebrity weddings in the Philippines. However, in 2007, they announced that they have decided to go separate ways. Ten years ago, they officially got annulled.
In a recent Instagram post of Ruffa Gutierrez, she recalled her social media posts to announce that she is no longer Mrs. Bektas a decade ago. Along with the screenshot of her past Facebook post, the actress included photos and videos with her two daughters, Lorin and Venice.
The background music that she used for her Instagram Reel was Annie’s Song by John Denver. In the caption of her post, Ruffa recalled the bittersweet journey that she had.
“On this day, ten years ago my annulment was granted. Thank you Facebook memories for making me remember. What a bittersweet journey it has been,” she said. With what she went through, the actress shared her realization. “Not everyone is going to stay forever but I still have to keep on going and thank them for the life lessons that made me the woman I am today,” Ruffa Gutierrez said.
Despite what she experienced in the past, the actress is still optimistic. “No regrets, just love,” the daughter of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama said. Several celebrities showed love and support for Ruffa.
