1 Police Killed, 2 Others Injured After PNP Chopper Crashed in Quezon Province
1 member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has been killed while 2 others are injured after the chopper they were riding crashed in Quezon Province.
One of the three police officers who were injured in a PNP helicopter crash in Real, Quezon on Monday morning has died. According to investigators, Patrolman Allen Ona died as a result of significant injuries to his body.

According to Quezon Police Information Officer Corporal Grace Calimag, Lt. Col. Michael Meloria and Lt. Col. Dexter Vitug are still being hospitalized at Claro M. Recto Hospital for physical injuries. The single-engine helicopter, an H125 Airbus with the registration number RP-9710, took off from Manila Domestic Airport in Pasay City on its route to Northern Quezon on an administrative assignment, according to the Philippine National Police.
According to reports, the airbus was headed to pick up Philippine National Police commander Gen. Dionardo Carlos when the incident occurred in the hilly area of Purok Mayaog, Brgy. Real Pandan. The accident scene was about 30 kilometers outside of Real’s city limits, and it was pouring.
For verification, officers from the local police force, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Municipal Action Center (MAC) were dispatched to the scene. The lack of signal coverage in the region made it impossible for authorities to transmit reports.
The reason of the occurrence is currently being investigated by authorities. According to the press announcement, an inquiry is ongoing, and the PNP has grounded its entire fleet of H125 Airbus police helicopters.
