Beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach is happy to be back to doing acting again.
PIA WURTZBACH – After four years, Pia Wurtzbach returns to acting through a new sitcom with Piolo Pascual and Pepe Herrera.
‘My Papa Pi’ is an upcoming new sitcom from ABS-CBN featuring the real “Papa P” Piolo Pascual which will premiere this March. Also starring in the show alongside Pascual are Pepe Herrera, Alora Sasam, Madam Inutz, and Anthony Jennings which will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Miss Universe 2015 is Pia Wurtzbach is also joining the cast ensemble, her first acting project after four years. The last one she did was the Star Cinema film My Perfect You with Gerald Anderson. She will be paired onscreen with “Papa P” Piolo. The sitcom is also her first TV show in almost 10 years.
The beauty queen did not expect that she will be offered to do this but the moment she was inquired about it, she immediately said “yes”. It also fitted her schedule which gave her no reason to refuse it. She shared, “And sobrang grateful ko na ako yung napili nila na makasama dito. Kasi siyempre bigatin yung mga ‘to. So sobrang grateful ako. Nakasama ko rin si papa Pi after many, many years.”
She added that having a TV project is something she did not see coming as well. She is just happy to be back and to let people see the other side of her every week through this sitcom. And according to a report from PUSH, among the factors that made her agree right away is the opportunity to be working with Molina, Pascual, and Herrera.
The sitcom will start airing on March 5, every Saturday, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, iWantTFC, and TFC.
