Seasoned television host Kim Atienza stressed that network wars are just igniting hate between fans.

Kuya Kim is one of the celebrities who constantly replies to netizens. Just recently, based on the article in PEP, the Kapuso host shared an art card showing the ratings that his show Dapat Alam Mo! with Emil Sumangil and Patricia Tumulak got based on NUTAM People Ratings (Nielsen Phils TAM).

The said informative show occupied the time slot of Willie Revillame’s Wowowin show left as his contract with GMA expired already. Kuya Kim’s post highlighted the 7.2 percent that his show got in a combined GMA and GTV ratings.

Its opponents Frontline Pilipinas of TV5 got 2.3 percent while the PBB Kumunity Season 10 being aired on A2Z and Kapamilya channel only got 0.8 percent.

This Twitter post of Kim Atienza received a comment from a netizen who is obviously a fan of the Kapamilya network. “Wala naman kayong kalaban e,” the supporter of ABS-CBN said.

With this, Kuya Kim said that fans of different networks should not engage in network wars and this will just create animosity.

Wala talaga dapat kapamilya, Kapuso o kapatid.Network wars bring nothing but hatred between fans that are better off enjoying ALL channels,” the seasoned television host said.

In the Philippines, avid fans of a certain network are quite fervent in defending the network that they are supporting while criticizing other networks. This has been a common scenario in the history of television in the country.

Meanwhile, Kim Atienza enthusiastically thanked those netizens who congratulated their Kapuso show. He worked with ABS-CBN for 17 years before he decided to transfer to GMA last year.
