Video of Traffic Enforcer Extorting Money from Truck Driver Goes Viral
A traffic enforcer has been caught on camera while extorting money from a truck driver along Llano road corner Teofilo Samson road.
Nowadays, corruption becomes one of the most common types of crimes not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. Extortion is a form of corruption, which has corresponding sanctions and penalties.
Throughout the years, many motorists have been complaining against traffic enforcers and cops who were extorting money from them. Corruption still happens despite the government’s effort to eradicate corruption.
The Facebook page “DashCam Philippines” has shared the video footage of a traffic enforcer receiving money from a truck driver along the road. The video elicits comments from the netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that a green cargo truck takes a right turn while a traffic enforcer wearing an orange uniform is standing beside the road. The enforcer quickly reached his hand to the driver handing something to him.
After the incident, the enforcer pretend and act like nothing happened. He continue to control the flow of traffic under his area of jurisdiction. The incident reportedly happened along Llano road corner Teofilo Samson road.
According to the uploader, truck drivers passing the area usually suffers extortion from the hands of the corrupt City government enforcers. The uploader also called the attention of the local government unit to take immediate action.
