Toni Gonzaga will no longer be part of PBB
Actress-host Toni Gonzaga, according to a reliable source, has ended her hosting stint for Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
The said show started its first season in 2005 and was hosted by Toni along with Willie Revillame and Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla. From that until the last season, Toni has been hosting the show.
The show dubbed “Teleserye ng Totoong Buhay” featured different co-hosts but Toni remained constant. However, in a recent Twitter post of ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, it was stated that a reliable source said that Toni Gonzaga will no longer host the reality show of the Kapamilya network.
“No formal resignation but source said Toni has voluntarily endorsed the main hosting job to Bianca Gonzalez,” MJ Felipe said. The entertainment reporter said that he is waiting for the official statements from Toni and PBB regarding this matter.
As of this writing, official statements are not yet released from both camps. This received various reactions from netizens. Critics of Toni, especially those who are supporting Vice President Leni Robredo expressed that they are happy if this report is true.
On the other hand, she was defended by her supporters who said that she has the right to support and vote for the candidate she likes.
This tweet of MJ Felipe came a day after the hosting stint of Toni Gonzaga in the proclamation rally of UniTeam’s standard bearers Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte.
In the event, as one of the senatorial candidates, Toni also introduced Representative Rodante Marcoleta, one of the prominent names in Congress who voted against ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal. Several Kapamilya personalities aired their disappointment because of this.
