Mayor Isko Moreno, Doc Willie Ong Starts Campaign Rally in Manila
DOC WILLIE ONG – The vice presidential candidate revealed what his running-mate, Mayor Isko Moreno, told him about his VP bid.
The Election 2022 is a few months from now and the campaign period has officially started. The kick-off of the campaign rallies of different parties was held in different cities in the country. The bets of Partido Aksyon Demokratiko kicked off their campaign rally at Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila.
Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was joined by his running mate, vice presidential bet Dr. Willie Ong, and the members of their senate slate. Moreno and Ong laid their plans if they will win the upcoming election.
According to Mayor Isko, if he wins in the upcoming election, he will focus on housing, livelihood, health, jobs, and security and fairness in the country. He stressed that he experienced being poor thus he knows the situation of those who are living in poverty.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Mayor Isko also pleaded with those who are fed up with the political dynasties to give him a chance. He stressed that the red has served for 21 years while the yellow has served for 18 years.
“After 39 years, kumusta po kayo? Kung pagod na kayo sa kanilang dalawa, nandito po ako. Maiba naman… Ano ba naman ang magbakasakali kayo sa akin ng 6 years?” he said.
Doc Willie Ong also spoke during the campaign rally. Based on the report, the cardiologist stressed that he is running for vice president as he feels pity for the situation of those who are sick and have no money most especially amid the pandemic. He also revealed what Mayor Isko Moreno told him about his vice presidential bid.
According to Doc Willie Ong, Mayor Isko Moreno told him that he may not be the right candidate for vice president at other times but he is the “right candidate” during this time as the country fights against the COVID-19 pandemic that dragged it.
Doc Willie previously said that he will not promise big but he can assure the Filipinos that he will not steal from the government. He wants to focus on health especially in the COVID-19 fight.
