The suspect behind robbery incident in 22 establishments passed away during a police operation in Tarlac.

Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office has released a video footage showing the suspect wearing a helmet upon entering a convenience store in Cabanatuan City. After a few moments, the suspect pulled out his gun to perform his illegal activity.

The suspect walked up to the cashier and took all the establishment’s income during that day. The culprit also victimized a gasoline station in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija and escaped using his motorcycle.

Robbery Incidents

The thief returned and took the wallets and mobile phones of the victims. The heartless thief victimized over 22 establishments including gas station, convenience store, grocery and bakery since January 1, 2022.

“Meron pong kuha sa mga ibang CCTV cameras na mag-isa lang po siyang bumibiyahe at nangho-holdup. Nag-check po tayo ng CCTV videos, footage, at pinag-aralan po natin ‘yung identity ng taong ito,” Cabanatuan Police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Carl Omar Fiel said.

Nueva Ecija Police launched a dragnet operation at the suspect’s hideout after received the information from the Provincial Intelligence Unit. The operation resulted to shootout, which leads to the death of the suspect.

A policeman also suffered wound during the encounter. The cops have also recovered the suspect’s helmet and motorcycle, which have been used to the crime. The Nueva Ecija Police discovered that the firearm used by suspect has been issued to a PNP personnel.

Provincial Director of Nueva Ecija PPO Police Colonel Jess Mendez said that the suspect carnapped the cop’s motorcycle containing its gun. Nueva Ecija PIU conducted a backtracking to trace the stolen items.
