During Pacquiao’s interview, he was questioned if the Philippines would be able to face China if “diplomatic” attempts between the two countries on the West Philippine Sea issue failed. Because of the courage of Filipinos, particularly the “warays,” Pacquiao believes the Philippines can engage China in a “defensive war.”

Lalo na ‘yung mga may dugong waray,” he confidently said.

Filipinos should not be terrified of China, according to Pacquiao. “Ang mamatay ng dahil sayo,” the aspirant said, emphasizing the lyrics of the Philippine national song.

Pacquiao inherited his “waray” blood from his Leyte-born mother Dionesia “Mommy D” Pacquiao. Sen. Manny Pacquiao is the standard-bearer for the political party PROMDI in the forthcoming May 2022 election.

Representative Lito Atienza is his running mate and the party’s pick for vice president. Pacquiao is one of the ten (10) presidential candidates still on the official ballot for the May election.

If he is elected to the highest post in the government, he has made it clear that he wants to battle corruption and poverty in the Philippines. The public is well aware of Sen. Pacquiao’s rags-to-riches journey. He had to drop out of school before to help his family.
