Tito Sotto defends Ping Lacson
Senate President Tito Sotto reacted to the remark of Vice President Leni Robredo against Senator Ping Lacson saying that the latter lacked action on the ground.
During the presidential interview hosted by King of Talk Boy Abunda, VP Leni was asked to say the reason why voters should not vote for other presidential candidates in the 2022 elections.
When the seasoned host mentioned the name of Ping Lacson, she said that the Senator is just “all talk” but he is lacking action on the ground. In his statement after the interview was aired and uploaded on YouTube, Lacson said that he is doing his job but he is not “pa-epal”.
In line with this matter, Lacson’s running mate, Sen. Tito Sotto, also expressed his thoughts on the remark coming from the Vice President. The Senate President said that he strongly objects to what VP Leni said about Lacson, based on the report from Inquirer.
“I really take exception to that statement. Hindi kami kaaway nila. Unless they provoke us,” he said. Coming to the defense of Lacson, Sotto said,” “Pasensya na but I cannot take that sitting down!” In his recent Twitter post, Sotto also pointed out the achievements of his running.
When Ping Lacson was asked by Boy Abunda about the reason why voters should not choose other presidential candidates, the Senator stated a simple answer. It is because he is also running for the same position.
During the interview of Tito Boy with former Senator Bongbong Marcos, he was also asked the same. His answer was that he does not believe and indulge in negative campaigning but stressed that other candidates aren’t focusing on unity.
