Sara Duterte has this reaction to supporters who are not backing her running mate
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said that she respects her supporters who are not supporting former Senator Bongbong Marcos.
BBM is running for president and Mayor Sara is his running mate but unfortunately, there are supporters of the latter who are not backing the presidential candidate of the UniTeam.
Based on the report from Inquirer, the presidential daughter is well aware of the fact that not all of her supporters will also support her presidential candidate.
“I respect it, but cannot be one with you on this,” Mayor Sara Duterte said. Reportedly, the vice presidential aspirant made this statement following calls for her to join force with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who is running for president under Aksyon Demokratiko.
Mayor Sara stressed that she is valuing the alliance that she made with Bongbong Marcos. “Nangako rin ako ng katapatan sa alyansang aking pinasok kasama ang Lakas-CMD Party at Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).Mahalaga po sa akin ang paninindigan at isang salita,” she said.
The Mayor also said that she is thankful for the support that she has been receiving and she will understand if her supporters will choose to support another presidential candidate.
“I continue to respect your decision to support another presidential candidate, it is with a heavy heart that I cannot be one with you on this,” Sara Duterte said.
Meanwhile, in a previous report, the Davao City Mayor said that she is not in favour of implementing restrictions on people who are not vaccinated. She stressed that vaccination is not mandatory and so it it illogical to force unvaccinated people to follow certain restrictions.
