Empoy Marquez made a revelation about his most anticipated scene with Maja Salvador
Empoy has earned the tag “the new pogi” because of the leading man roles he did. This broke the stereotypical belief of many people when it comes to male lead characters.
During a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Empoy and his co-star Noel Comia Jr. who plays the role of Niño in the series on TV5, talked about their experience working with Maja Salvador.
Noel said that he learned a lot from the actress-dancer when it comes to acting. He also said that Maja is very supportive and her energy on the set is contagious. When it was time for Empoy Marquez to answer, he said that he will never forget the preparation that he did, especially a particular kissing scene that he was supposed to do with Maja.
“I consumed seven sachets of toothpaste to make sure I was ready for her, but the scene didn’t happen,” the comedian shared.
He also shared that he was able to establish a good relationship with everyone on the set and this is something that makes him happy. Another thing that makes him happy is the recognition that their show received from the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards. The series won the best drama series (national winner) award.
Empoy Marquez said that everyone in their Niña Niño family is happy that their hard work was recognized. “We dedicate the award to our supporters and to God, who gave all of these to us—the good weather, our family at work,” he said.
The drama series is aired every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7:15 p.m. on TV5.
