Maja Salvador talked about her first onscreen partnership with Empoy Marquez
Actress Maja Salvador said that her love team with Empoy Marquez will be making the KathNiel tandem nervous.
In this generation, the tandem of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is one of the most popular love teams. Aside from being onscreen partners, they are also in a relationship with each other that added more “kilig” to their projects together.
For Maja, her tandem with Empoy will have this effect as she said in jest, “kabahan na ang KathNiel.” Maja and Empoy are working together now on the Kapatid series Niña Niño.
“Wala talaga akong loveteam na sobrang nag-clock talaga. [Pero] ito I have a good feeling, kabahan na ang KathNiel hahaha. With Empoy, ang sarap katrabaho kapag magaan eh. Walang ginagawa ka-parnter mo kundi patawanin ka lang. Iba talaga ‘pag may bigote,” the actress-dancer said.
This is the second project of Maja on TV5 after her stint on Sunday Noontime Live. Doing the said musical variety show, the rival of AB-CBN‘s ASAP Natin To where Maja used to be one of the mainstays, brought out intrigue against her.
In an interview on TV5’s news program Frontline Pilipinas, Maja Salvador said that it is her privilege to be offered this kind of project. She shared that the TV series was pitched to her last October 2020 and she immediately felt butterflies in her stomach which is a sign for her to do the project.
She added that the story of the series is very timely now and its dramady genre is unique. Niña Niño will premiere on April 5.
