Ohio Man Accidentally Shoots Own Daughter After Mistaking Her as Intruder Breaking Into Their Home
The police authorities reported a man in Ohio shoots his own daughter after mistaking her as an intruder breaking into their house.
The demise of 16-year-old girl named Janae Hairston has been added to the long list of gun violence victims in the United States this 2021. She died after accidentally shot by her own father.
Hariston’s mom quickly called the emergency services around 4:30 am. the rescuers found the girl lying on the floor of the garage after suffering a gun shot from her father who mistook her for an intruder.
According to the report, both parents even tried to wake up their daughter. The lady victim has been rushed to the local hospital after the emergency responders arrived at the scene. The woman passed away at 5:42 am last Wednesday (December 29, 2021).
“We are saddened by this tragic loss and will make every effort to help students and families cope,” Janae’s school district wrote in a letter.
On the other hand, three other people with ages six, nine, and 22 passed away due to shootings and homicides last December 7. 2022 has been considered as one of the deadliest years in the city’s history, according to a local newspaper Columbus Dispatch.
Gun violence drastically increase since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States. Over 44,000 people have did due to guns and 1, 517 of them were minors.
