Pinoy Big Brother: Kuya Informs Housemates About Odette

Housemates of Pinoy Big Brother worried over destruction done by Odette.

PINOY BIG BROTHER – Kuya breaks the bubble as he showed and informed his housemates about the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette.

The central and southern Philippines have been devastated after Typhoon Odette brought heavy rains and destructive winds. First, it made landfall in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte on Thursday and the area is now suffering from billions-worth of damages. It did not only ruined shelter, agriculture, and infrastructure but also caused the cutting of power and water supply.

The typhoon had 195 kilometers per hour (kph) in maximum sustained winds and gusts of up to 240 kph. Because of the damage has it caused to the infrastructure, transport of goods has been affected resulting in a shortage of fuel, drinking water, and basic commodities in the Odette-stricken areas.

And being in a bubble inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, the housemates are certainly unaware of these until Kuya decided to inform them about it. Being inside the house means being clueless about what is happening outside the house. However, certain exceptions are made and it ranges from reasons like a family member falling ill or widescale calamities.

Housemates like Brenda and Anji have received updates from their respective families as the areas where they have come from were badly beaten by the strong typhoon. Salvacion hails from Siargao and her mother has assured her that they are safe.

Brenda, on the other hand, was also assured by his sister that even before Odette made a pour down, they have already left the house and evacuated to safety. Their garage’s roof was destroyed but they are safe and it’s what matters most. Brenda is originally from Cagayan de Oro.
