However, during this year’s Miss World, something unfortunate happened. Miss World Indonesia Carla Yules was out of the competition two days ahead of the coronation night because she tested positive for COVID-19. The pageant’s venue is Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Miss World India Manasa Varanasi is her roommate and if she got infected by it, she might also fail to participate in this year’s pageant.

Puerto Rican news agency Primera Hora reported that seven delegates have actually tested positive as per a report from Philstar. Julia Morley said in a statement that if these candidates will not gain “a negative molecular PCR test, they won’t be on stage for the final show”.

The statement added:

“Knowing the seriousness of this global situation that we all face, we took steps to capture the unique talent of each contestant so that, in case they couldn’t join us on the last night, they could still win the crown as Miss World 2021. The panel of judges will review their pre-recorded video content to make their final decision.”

They also assured that the health protocols have been strictly adhered to.

Meanwhile, Tracy landed in the Top 4 of the Head-to-Head Challenge and in the Top 5 of the Beauty With a Purpose fast track challenge.
