Quezon Reports Zero COVID-19 Cases In December
QUEZON ZERO COVID-19 CASES – As the holiday season approaches, health authorities in Quezon city reports good tidings.
As the country continues to fight the spread of COVID-19, Quezon authorities report zero COVID-19 cases. Furthermore, this would be the third time in December that this happened.
Previously, authorities reported zero COVID-19 cases on December 1. Following that, no COVID-19 cases were also reported on December 11.
Unfortunately, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) said that three COVID-19 patients in Lucena city succumbed to the virus. With this, the death toll for COVID-19 in Quezon rose to 1,478. Meanwhile, Lucena, the Quezon’s capital, reported 223 deaths.
In the month of December, Quezon has recorded 36 COVID-19 cases from December 1 to 12. This would be a massive improvement compared to last month’s 211 new COVID-19 cases.
Since September, COVID-19 cases in the province had a steady decline. Initially, there were 5,342 cases reported in September. However, this lowered to 2,115 in October.
On the other hand, active cases in the province also saw a decline. Last September, the peak of the active cases was 2,570. Now, it sits at 53 as of Sunday. Additionally, the IPHO also noted that 27 towns have zero COVID-19 cases as well.
Currently, the Philippines has reported 2,836,562 COVID-19 cases in the course of the entire pandemic. Of that number, 11,255 are considered as active cases. Meanwhile, the Philippines also reported 2,775,057 recoveries.
Sadly, 50,280 have succumbed to the virus. Still, COVID-19 numbers are on a steady decline in the Philippines.
