Vice President Leni Robredo revealed the reason why she chose Senator Kiko Pangilinan as her running mate in the 2022 elections.
After Robredo announced her presidential candidacy and eventually filed her certificate of candidacy, there was a short moment of questioning if who will be her running mate.
Then, it was announced that Senator Pangilinan will run as her vice president. In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of Megastar Sharon Cuneta, the wife of Pangilinan, Robredo shared what prompted her to choose the Senator.
The Vice President said that initially, as the unification has not worked yet, she was looking at the possibility of who will be her tandem. “Noong una talaga, hindi ko pa tinitignan si Senator Kiko,” she admitted. It is because she knew the personal circumstances if ever the tandem will push through and this will be unfair on his part.
However, several people who she talked to have suggested the Senator. “Parang ‘yung feeling mo na he makes the most sense,” she said The presidential aspirant said that she and Pangilinan have the same personality.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Vice President Leni Robredo shared the most hurtful bashing that she is receiving from her detractors. She said that she can let the most common bashing like “bobo” pass but she can’t just ignore when bashers would say that she has not done anything for the Filipino people.
Robredo pointed out that her team is posting the charitable endeavors that they do but since social media works according to the algorithm, not many people would see the posts about this online.
