VP Robredo reacted to this recent statement of Isko Moreno
Vice President Leni Robredo shared her reaction to the statement of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno saying that he will adopt President Rodrigo Duterte in his senatorial slate.
In a recent interview, the presidential candidate of Aksyon Demokratiko said that he will personally vote for the Chief Executive who is running for senator in the 2022 elections, based on the report from The Philippine Star.
The Manila Mayor added that it will be an honor for him that someone like the President will be one of the senatorial candidates in his camp. He added that the Duterte administration has accomplished a lot like the infrastructure project Build, Build, Build.
Following that statement of Mayor Isko Moreno, VP Leni Robredo shared her reaction. She said that it is the right of the Mayor whoever he chooses to include in his slate. However, the presidential candidate said that the choices of a person reflect a lot of vital things.
“Yung choices naman nating lahat laging reflection siya ng aspirations natin. Lagi siyang reflection ng values na pinaniniwalaan natin,” she said. She added that this is the reason why she is proud of her senatorial slate.
The Vice President also stressed that each candidate under her was well thought of in order to contribute to the policies that they are aiming to make that will be beneficial for the Filipino people. For Robredo, the popularity and the ability of the candidate to win are not the main factors. She stressed that the vital thing is that a candidate can communicate to the voters what he or she wants to happen and the contribution that they could make to the next administration.
“I cannot make a comment on the choices other candidates make kasi karapatan naman nila yun eh,” the Vice President said.
