Isko Moreno Denies Spending P300M For His Pre-Campaign Ads

Did Isko Moreno spend this huge amount for his political ad?

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno denied that he already spent P300 million for his pre-campaign political advertisement as a presidential aspirant.

Prior to the official announcement of his candidacy for president, the camp of Moreno released a political ad that was praised by political analysts. Atty. Tony La Viña, former dean of the Manila-based Ateneo School of Government called the said advertisement “clever”.

Through the infomercial, the Manila Mayor appeared to hit many birds with one stone. He addressed the issues being thrown at him while defending himself as well. It also highlighted positivity amid difficulties.

In an article by entertainment columnist Jun Nardo back in September, he mentioned that the people behind this “brilliant” political ad of Moreno are former employees of ABS-CBN.

In a recent interview, based on the report by ABS-CBN reporter, during a campaign sortie in Malabon on December 9, Isko Moreno denied that his expenses for his political ad has already reached P300 million.

Kung maraming nag-a-advertise for me, thank you very much… Hindi naman kasi ako pinagpala… Sabi ko nga, ang pulubi, hindi nakakapamili,” the presidential aspirant said.

Meanwhile, Moreno said that he will not refuse if ever President Rodrigo Duterte will endorse his candidacy after the administration’s close ally Senator Bong Go announced that he will be withdrawing his candidacy for president.

In a recent statement, the Manila Mayor also expressed that he will support the candidacy of the Chief Executive who is running for Senator. Isko Moreno said that will vote for the Duterte patriarch. He also expressed that his political journey will end if he will not win the presidential race.
