Mayor Isko Moreno Makes Revelations on President Duterte’s Senate Bid

Mayor Isko Moreno Reacts To Senatorial Bid of Pres. Duterte

MAYOR ISKO MORENO – The Manila City Mayor and presidential aspirant spoke on the senatorial bid of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The Election 2022 is fast approaching and the aspirants have already filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on the positions they want to take a vie for next year. Some of them did not file their candidacy on the filing period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and, instead, substituted another aspirant.

One of those who took the substitution process over his senatorial bid if Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Initially, the 76-year-old President was the vice-presidential bet of the ruling party PDP-Laban Cusi wing. He accepted his party’s vice-presidential nomination.

However, during the filing period, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced that he will retire from politics. He stressed that he will just go home to Davao City and prepare his response to the investigation of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Within the period that allows substitutions, the President replaced a senatorial bet under the PDP Laban Cusi wing. His senatorial bid gained different reactions from the people.

As for presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, one of the senatorial candidates that he will vote for is Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He stressed that the 76-year-old Chief Executive is the 4th on his list.

Furthermore, based on the report, Mayor Isko Moreno is willing to include Pres. Duterte in his senatorial slate. According to him, he will be “humbled and honored” if the Chief Executive would allow him to endorse him for senator in the Election 2022.

As for presidential aspirant and labor leader Ka Leody de Guzman, he has no plan of voting for the President for senator in the next election. If he wins, he wants the President sent to jail.
