Janine Gutierrez dreamed of being part of the Kapamilya network
Award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez used to dream of being one of the artists of ABS-CBN and now that she is part of the Kapamilya network, she shared the story behind this career move.
Janine has been under the management of the Kapuso network for over a decade before she decided to transfer to the rival network. Early this year, the actress that came from a prominent showbiz family, surprised many showbiz fans when it was announced that she was signing a contract with ABS-CBN.
This happened amid the franchise non-renewal of the media company. This obstacle has brought limitations but instead of staying where she belongs for many years, Janine Gutierrez said that she wanted the Kapamilya network to be her home.
In a recent interview by King of Talk Boy Abunda, the award-winning actress said that it has been her goal to be part of ABS-CBN and she did not mind the fact that the network’s franchise was not renewed.
“It is something that I had been planning to do na talaga and I was surprised worh their reaction when I did get to do it na sinabi ng mga tao na ‘ang tapang nung ginawa ko’ and ‘kakaiba na lilipat siya kung kailan walang prangkisa, walang channel’. I didn’t even considered that. I just really wanted to be part of the network,” Janine said.
Instead, she felt excitement to be in her new home network wherein, she said, she could explore her talent more. Janine said that she feels that with ABS-CBN, she can do more, lot of things may happened, and there are countless possibilities.
In the same interview, Janine Gutierrez said that it is an advantage for her to be a member of the prominent showbiz clan in the Philippines but she also wants to prove that she deserves the opportunity that was given to her.
