Oldest Living Pinay Named Francisca Susano Peacefully Dies at 124
FRANCISCA SUSANO – The oldest living Filipino named Francisca Susano has already passed away at the age of 124 years old.
On Monday evening (November 22, 2021), the centenarian grandma from Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental has died. The grandma’s unexpected demise has been confirmed by her family.
Lola Iska peacefully passed away on her sleep. She has been found dead on her bed and did not suffer an illness before passing away. However, the elderly woman has a wound on her side after she becomes bed-ridden for a long-period of time.
The centenarian lady even celebrated her 124th birthday on September 11, 2021. She has 14 children and have over 400 grandchildren. She had witnessed the two historical world wars.
The 124-year-old woman passed away without being recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest living person in the world. She was born on Sept. 11, 1897 before the Philippines has been printed Spanish rule.
Kabankalan City public information officer Jake Carlyne Gonzales said that the local health office will determine Loa Isca’s cause of death. She will be tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday morning (November 23).
Susano did not exhibit any symptoms of the viral illness before her death, according to Gonzales.

Lola Iska is considered the oldest person in Negros Occidental and the Philippines.
Her official declaration as the oldest person in the world at 124 years old is currently validated by the Guinness World Records.
Mayor Pedro Zayco, Vice Mayor Raul Rivera and all city officials as well as all the people of Kabankalan City condoles and prays with the family of Lola Iska in their period of bereavement.
Lola Iska will always remain as our inspiration and pride.”
