PAGASA Says Amihan & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (November 22)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the amihan and the localized thunderstorms would bring cloudy skies with isolated rains over some parts of the country.

On Monday (November 22, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country.

The amihan would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, and Apayao.

The localized thunderstorms would bring similar weather conditions are also expected over Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet and Kalinga.

Metro Manila, the region of Mindanao as well as the rest of the country would experience the same weather condition due to the Easterlies/Localized Thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon would be moderate to rough while the remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

“Dahil sa inaasahan po nating paglakas ng amihan ngayong araw, nag-issue po tayo ng gale warning, Kaya paalala po sa ating mga kababayan na huwag munang pumalaot sa mga lugar na ito dahil sa inaasahan po nating matataas na alon,” PAGASA said.
