Sen. Pacquiao Says Some People Underestimate his Capacity
PACQUIAO – Boxer-turned-Senator Manny Pacquiao is eager to prove himself to people who allegedly “underestimate” his capacity.
One of the presidential aspirants in the Election 2022 is Sen. Manny Pacquiao. His life story is an open book to the public and his rags to riches story has inspired many people. He hooked the spotlight for being a boxing legend who’s the champion in eight different weight divisions.
The boxer-turned-Senator is vocal that his driving factor to run for the presidency is his desire to help people. As to questions on why he still joined politics although he can help others on his own like he usually does, the Senator explained that he can help more people if he is in the government considering the bigger fund of the government.
However, according to Sen. Manny Pacquiao, there are people who underestimate his capacity. The boxer-turned-Senator is willing and eager to prove himself to these people that he can also be a champion in the political arena.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sen. Manny Pacquiao expressed his excitement to face his fellow presidential aspirants in a debate most especially those who allegedly belittle him. He stressed that he will show them the person they are underestimating.
“Bigyan n’yo lang po ako ng pagkakataon, sa 6 na taon, at ipapakita ko po sa inyo kung ano ‘yung tao na ina-underestimate nila at minamaliit nila,” he said.
According to the Senator, he was also underestimated when he was just starting in boxing. He stressed that he also wants to be an eight (8) different weight division champion in public service. Based on the report, he is confident that his fellow Bisaya in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will support him in the upcoming election.
The boxer-turned-Senator also reportedly asked for prayers from everyone saying that he is running for president not for his personal enrichment but to help the poor Filipinos. When he announced his presidential bid prior to the filing of candidacy, it was followed by his announcement of retirement from boxing.
