Fire Volunteers Rescued Lost Chow-Chow Spotted Wandering Along EDSA
A lost chow-chow has been rescued by fire volunteers and finally reunited with its owner after spotted wandering along EDSA.
A poor dog has been spotted by the motorists and passengers wandering along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue or popularly known as EDSA. A citizen named Marnie Aguilar has expressed her concern towards the dog and seeks help from the fire volunteers.
George Rendon Jr. of Zack Fire and Rescue Volunteer said that he received over 100 calls claiming to be the owner of the adorable dog. Rendon requires individuals claiming as dog owners to present a certificate or video to prove their claims.
Unfortunately, the callers failed to present one so the rescue personnel has started to block some numbers. Eventually, he received a call from a certain Juliet Aves who claimed to be owner of the lost chow-chow named “Hammy”.
Aves presented videos and pictures to prove her claims so the fire volunteers brought the dog to the lady’s residence. Rendon also proved that Aves is the real owner due to the dog’s closeness to her.
“Papunta pa lang po kami roon, ‘yung aso talagang kahol na nang kahol eh. Kasbisado niya na po ‘yung area, kahit nasa ibabaw pa lang talaga siya ng truck, ‘yung willingness niya na bumaba para lapitan ‘yung amo niya,” Rendon said.
The fur mommy has also expressed her happiness after reuniting with her lost dog. Aves narrated that she received Hammy nine years ago when the fur baby was still two-month old.
The dog owner is suspecting that Hammy followed her children on their way to vaccination center. She also give donations to fire volunteers and promised to shoulder their uniform expenses.
