This is what Boy Abunda said about the engagement of Kris Aquino and about his future husband.
KRIS AQUINO – Long-time friend of Kris Aquino, King of Talk Boy Abunda, speaks about this new chapter of her – her engagement to Mel Sarmiento.
Former secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Mel Senen Sarmiento is the future husband of television personality and host Kris Aquino. Through an Instagram post, they made their announcement, and people have nothing but happiness for her because she’s been single for a long time. And Kris is also visibly in a much happier disposition because she did not only find someone good for her but also someone whom her sons have approved of.

And just recently, in an interview, Aquino’s long-time host and former co-host, King of Talk Boy Abunda, was asked about this new event in her life and he is definitely happy for her. During the virtual media conference of his podcast “Who Are You When No One’s Watching”, he expressed that he is happy for her engagement. He is simply happy for her because she is happy.
“I am happy because she is happy. I am happy because she is in a new chapter of her life,” Abunda said. Regarding her fiance, he heard nothing but good things about him accordingly. He’s uncertain if he had met him personally already but he knows he’s going to take care of her, his long-time friend as per the ABS-CBN report.
Meanwhile, Kris and Mel made their relationship public last August followed by their engagement announcement. Abunda added, “We have not spoken about it yet because Kris and I are hoping to talk about it in person. Iyong kuwentuhan para mas masaya. I’m happy for her.”
