Here’s what Herbert Bautista said about the current status of Kris Aquino’s love life
Actor-politician Herbert Bautista reacted to the engagement of actress-host Kris Aquino and former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Sarmiento.
To recall, Kris hinted through her social media post that her love life is blooming. It was later on revealed that it was the former DILG head who served during the administration of former President Noynoy Aquino.
Just recently, the actress-host announced her engagement and her fans are ecstatic about this new chapter in her life. Kris’s former husband James Yap also expressed happiness that she will be tying the knot.
Another man who is or was close to Kris Aquino shared a reaction to her engagement. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, during a recent interview for his senatorial candidacy in 2022, Herbert Bautista received questions about the engagement of the actress-host.
It is known to many showbiz fans that Kris shared in the past that she and Herbert had a “special” friendship. They were best of friends for seven years. Speculations surfaced that they were a couple but neither of them confirmed what many people believed.
Herbert said that he is happy seeing Kris that she is happy. “Masaya ako dahil yung peace and quiet … yung ang hinahanap niya eh. Happy ako sa kanya,” the senatorial candidate said.
When asked about the engagement, Herbert Bautista said that he did not know about it because he is not updated on what is happening on social media.
“Hindi ko alam na ikakasal na siya pero happy ako sa kanya. Hindi ko naman kasi sinsundan yung social media niya,” the actor-politician said.
Meanwhile, when Herbert was asked if he is also happy right now, he said he is but refused to divulge if there is someone who is the reason behind his happiness.
