Aside from the impeachment complaints filed against her, Vice Pres. Duterte was also faced with a subpoena issued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). It came after her remarks against the Marcoses.

Vice Pres. Duterte issued “threats” against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez. According to her, her “final wish” is the death of the three (3) political personas if an alleged plot against her life succeeds.
The NBI issued a subpoena against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte but she skipped the initial schedule of the investigation last November 29. It was rescheduled today. However, only the legal counsel of Duterte arrived at the NBI today.

The camp of Duterte submitted a letter to the National Bureau of Investigation denying the accusation against the Vice President. However, the NBI refused to accept it as the sworn statement of Duterte.

Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also emphasized that she is staying in her position and she will be finishing her term as it is her “contract with the Filipino people”. According to her, she is at peace with whatever might happen to her.
“I have already accepted that whatever happens to me, that is God’s purpose for my life,” the Vice President said.
