Miss Universe 2021 Competition To Be Held In Israel, Date Revealed

Israel preps up for Miss Universe 2021 pageant, other details about the competition have been announced.

MISS UNIVERSE 2021 – Israel is confirmed to be staging the Miss Universe competition for this year and here are some other details about this.

The biggest and much-anticipated pageant in the globe is Miss Universe. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the organization hurled it all and pushed through the competition last year which crowned Andrea Meza of Mexico as Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa passed the prestigious crown and title to her.

The other winners are:

1st runner-up: Miss Brazil – Julia Gama
2nd runner-up: Miss Peru – Janick Maceta del Castillo
3rd runner-up: Miss India – Adline Castelino
4th runner-up: Miss Dominican Republic – Kimberly Jimenez

And now, for the 70th edition of the Miss Universe competition, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and the city of Eilat announced that they will be staging the pageant on December 12. The United Arab Emirates will have a delegate to represent their country and Morocco will also return to participate after 40 years of being not able to send a delegate.

Organization’s president Paula M. Shugart stated, “Israel has been on our shortlist of host countries for a number of years due to its rich history, beautiful landscapes, myriad of cultures and appeal as a global tourist destination.”

Meanwhile, Eli Lankri, acting mayor of Eilat, expressed that they are “delighted and proud” to host the competition for its 70th year where they will be housing over 90 delegates coming from various parts of the world as per a report from Manila Bulletin.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez, the 26-year-old beauty queen from Cebu City, will be the one to represent the country in this year’s international competition. She is the first openly bisexual candidate who won the title. She is in a relationship with her girlfriend for seven years now. She’s vocal about being against bullying and violence to LGBTQ+ people.
