Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa passed the crown to her. And beating the 73 other delegates from various parts of the world, she eloquently spoke during the question and answer portion and while giving her final statement of the pageant.
During the Q&A, she was asked as to how she would handle a country if she’s the leader amid the pandemic.
This is her complete answer:
“I believe there is not a perfect way to handle this hard situation such as COVID-19. However, I believe what I would have done is create the lockdown even before everything was that big because we lost so many lives and we cannot afford that. We have to take care of our people. That’s why I would have taken care of them since the beginning.”
As for the part where they have to give their final statement, she picked the topic changing beauty standards and here’s her winning statement about this:
“We live in a society that more and more is more than advanced, and as we advance as a society, we’ve also advanced with stereotypes. Nowadays beauty isn’t only the way we look. For me, beauty radiates not only in our spirit, but in our hearts and the way that we conduct ourselves. Never permit someone to tell you that you’re not valuable.”
Many of the pageanthologists in the country have already picked her as their winner as they can see the intelligence and potential in her. She’s also firm and consistent in speaking about her advocacy and she displayed a flawless performance all throughout the competition.
