Sara Duterte had a meeting with Bato Dela Rosa
Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa shared his reminder to Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte during their meeting on Monday, October 25.
Dela Rosa is the standard-bearer of PDP-Laban (Cusi faction). A few hours before the filing of the certificate of candidacy (COC) on October 8, the Senator filed for the position of President while Senator Bong Go filed days before him.
With this, speculations surfaced that Dela Rosa is just a placeholder for the presidential daughter whom they have been convinced to run for President. When asked about this, the Senator said that he would gladly give way to the Davao City Mayor once she decides to seek the highest political position in the Philippines.
However, several times, the Mayor has expressed that she is not running for the national position as she wants to finish her term as the local chief executive in Davao City.
Just recently, the camp of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos released photos showing that he visited Davao City and met with Sara Duterte who announced her support for the former Senator.
Following that, Dela Rosa shared a photo showing that he had a meeting with the Mayor. “Teaser lang muna ito sa aming meeting with Mayor Inday Sara minutes ago at Davao City Hall,” the Senator wrote in the caption of his post on Monday noon.
Based on the Twitter post of News5, Bato dela Rosa reminded Sara Duterte that the deadline for the filing of substitution for the 2022 elections is getting nearer. “Just reminded her that Nov. 15 is fast approaching,” Dela Rosa said in his message to the reporters. The deadline for the substation is on November 15, as the Commission on Elections set.
