Man Arrested by Cops For Threatening Barangay Tanod Using Fake Firearm
The police authorities have arrested a man for threatening a barangay tanod using a fake gun in Dasmariñas City in Cavite.
The Philippines is currently facing various problems including the increasing rate of criminality. The extreme poverty and lack of job opportunities over the previous decades lead some people to commit crimes for the sake of money.
However, several people commit crimes not because of money but because of their personal reasons. Some of them even commit crimes for losing self-control or due to mental incapabilities.
On early Saturday morning (October 23, 2021), the Dasmasriñas police arrested a man named Ricky Garvilles who was riding his motorcycle for threatening a barangay watchman with a fake firearm.
The police authorities are already enhancing the law enforcement methods but the rate of criminality continues to increase amid the stricter rules and regulations.
The barangay watchman Danny Cruz flagged down Garvilles who was riding his motorcycle. The tanod apprehended the man for routine inspection along Summerwind Drive in Burol Main.
According to the investigation, the suspect was under the influence of liquor during that time. The culprit pulled out a gun from his waist and pointed it at the barangay official to threaten it.
The watchman quickly grabbed the firearm and turned out to be a fake one, which is only a replicate of a real gun.
The suspect is currently detained at the police station and would face corresponding sanctions and penalties.
