Vic Sotto shared his thoughts about the talent of Maine Mendoza
Seasoned comedian-host Vic Sotto revealed these things about Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza who is his co-host in Eat Bulaga and co-star in Daddy’s Gurl.
Maine’s career started in showbiz started in the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines in which one of the iconic main hosts is Vic. They also worked together in movies My Bebe Love: #Kilig Pa More (2015), Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles (2018), and Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity (2019).
During a recent interview, Vic Sotto was asked about working with Maine Mendoza, based on the article in Manila Bulletin. The seasoned celebrity said that even at the start of AlDub, Maine’s love team with Alden Richards, he already saw a bi g potential in her. “Na-witness nating lahat yung pag-evolve to a better actress, to a better host, lalo na sa Bulaga. She’s just a natural,” he said.
Bossing Vic also said that he can’t remember a time when he gave acting pointers to Maine whether it is for a drama or a comedy scene. He added that everything comes out naturally.
“Natural na lang lumalabas eh kung ano man yung kalokohan, kagandahan, o yung galing niya sa pag-arte, mapa-comedy, serious, mapa-batuhan ng opinion,” the comedian-host said.
Vic Sotto also stressed that Maine Mendoza is a “very well-rounded and very talented” artist. Hearing about these praises that she got from the seasoned comedian-host, the Phenomenal Star is simply overwhelmed.
Maine admitted that she still feels intimidated working with seasoned stars in showbiz. Previously, the actress-host said that she is very thankful for the opportunities given to her even amid the pandemic. Having projects amid the crisis is something that she really appreciates because she knows that many jobless people amid the pandemic are striving.
