Vic Sotto has this message for his older brother
Veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto showed support for his older brother Senate President Tito Sotto during a recent 42nd-anniversary celebration of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Vic and Tito, together with Joey de Leon have been the pillars of noontime shows in the Philippine entertainment industry. For more than four decades they showed their staying power.
Just recently, the popular trio was spotted having a meeting together with Kapuso executives. This created speculations and some said that it was for the anniversary celebration of their show while there were those who said that it was a preparation for Tito Sotto’s political plan, especially when Joey de Leon shared a post with an intriguing caption about their meeting.
Later on, the Senate President and his fellow Senator, Ping Lacson, announced that they will be running mates in the 2022 elections. The actor-turned-politician will run for Vice President while the former PNP Chief will run for President.
In line with whatever endeavor Tito Sotto will have in the future, Vic Sotto, along with the Eat Bulaga family expressed this message. “Si Tito Sen (Tito Sotto) mula naman noon, saan ka man dalhin ng iyong kapalaran nandito pa rin kami at ano man ang sunod pang nakatadhana sa’yo nasa likod mo ang buong Eat Bulaga,” the younger Sotto said.
With teary eyes, Tito Sen said that his “lakas ng loob” always comes from his family in the noontime show and his love for the people.
“Iba-iba ang daang tinatahak – mahirap, masaya, malungkot, mapanghusga pero bawal sumuko, bawal umayaw, tuloy lang tayo sa paghahatid ng isang libo’t isang tuwa at pag-asa saan man ako makarating,” the lawmaker said.
Vic Sotto also expressed gratitude to all the Dabarkads or the supporters of their show for accompanying them in whatever journey they had.
