Ces Drilon Insists Bongbong Marcos Should “Acknowledge” Father’s Sins

Ces Drilon Insists Bongbong Marcos Acknowledged the Sins of His Father to Filipinos

CES DRILON – Veteran journalist asks Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. not to pay for the sins of his father but insists to acknowledge them.

Ces Orea-Drilon, a former ABS-CBN presenter, highlighted that the presidential candidate in the 2022 election should respond to the people’s demands. This is to admit that his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., was largely responsible for the Filipinos’ suffering.

She wrote on Twitter that he doesn’t want Bongbong to pay for his father’s mistakes, but rather that he admits them. She went on to say that he couldn’t run for office if his young people were paying the interest on his father’s “behest loans to cronies.”

“We aren’t asking BBM to pay for the sins of his father but to acknowledge them! For how can you run on a platform pretending FM was the greatest president this country ever had when up to now my sons & your children are paying the interest on his behest loans to cronies!” Ces wrote in her post.

When challenged about the difficulties involving his father and family, BBM and Senator Imee Marcos usually claim that the court has already taken a decision on the matter and that it should be ignored. Manny Pacquiao, a fellow presidential candidate, is equally adamant about admitting his family’s mistakes.

Pacquiao warned the public that Marcoses should return the Filipinos’ “ill-gotten fortune.” Atom Araullo, a Kapuso Network journalist, seems to concur that BBM’s father should be held accountable for his supposed offenses against the public, which was also tweeted.

Despite the public’s and celebrities’ critiques, it appears that senatorial candidate Raffy Tulfo defended BBM in an interview with ABS-CBN. He stated that the father’s sin is not the son’s sin.
